Founded in 1933 as Florida’s first public community college, Palm Beach State has grown from serving 41 local students to serving more than 36,000 from more than 150 countries across five campuses as well as online.

Belle Glade campus

Explore Belle Glade campus

Serving residents of the western communities of Palm Beach County, the Belle Glade location opened in 1972. The permanent facility was built in 1977 and occupied in January 1978.

Since 1971, Palm Beach State College has been serving the greater south Palm Beach County area from its campus in Boca Raton, conveniently located adjacent to Florida Atlantic University.

Lake Worth campus

Lake Worth is the College's largest and longest-established campus. Bordered by Lake Osborne and John Prince Park, this 114-acre campus offers numerous programs for those planning to transfer to universities or enter or advance in the workforce.

Loxahatchee Groves campus

Palm Beach State’s long anticipated fifth campus officially opened on Feb. 27, 2017. Nestled on a beautiful 75-acre site with preserved wetlands, virgin woodlands and cypress trees, the Loxahatchee Groves campus represents a pivotal moment in the College’s history.

The Palm Beach Gardens campus opened in 1982 as a permanent, full-time facility offering Associate in Arts and Associate in Science degrees and certificate programs.

PBSC Historical Building

The Count and Countess DeHoernle Historic Building

Palm Beach State College has been educating Palm Beach County since 1933, and it started here. The Count and Countess DeHoernle Historic Building still stands as the first home of the College. Today it’s home to the Foundation for Palm Beach State and Achieve Palm Beach County.
