Intermediate ESOL for the Workplace: A Celebration
By Kristen Shoemaker
Students enrolled in Intermediate ESOL for the Workplace gathered in the Historic Building’s training room last month to celebrate the completion of its 14-week run.
This course is one of the three courses provided by the IEECE to help early childhood practitioners prepare for the LOEP (Language of English Proficiency) exam, which is the prerequisite for starting EAP (English for Academic Purposes) classes at Palm Beach State College.
The course is taught by Melanie Brown, Michelle Immekus, and Kristen Shoemaker.
The students were delighted to attend the celebration hosted by the IEECE, which featured
catered Latin food and café con leche.
Students also contributed to the festivities by bringing in their own homemade appetizers,
main dishes, and desserts. All were awarded a certificate of completion in recognition
of their success.
