Veterans Success Center
Military veterans pursuing their education at Palm Beach State College now have a place to connect and get support. The College converted a former Criminal Justice building on the Lake Worth campus into the Veterans Success Center.
Designed to be a one-stop shop for everything student veterans may need, the facility features:
- Lounge for social and recreational activities
- Study areas and a computer lab
- Tutoring
- Financial aid assistance
- Benefits counseling and disability services
It also functions as a venue for faculty training to enhance understanding and responsiveness to student veterans. The center replaces the center in the Paul J. Glynn building, and was made possible through an $800,000 one-time appropriation approved by the Florida Legislature in 2016 and sponsored by former State Senator Maria Sachs, a champion of veterans.
Student Veterans of America: Three PBSC Chapters
Each veterans resource center features a student veterans club affiliated with the Student Veterans of America. Get involved in the club most convenient to you. You do not have to be taking classes on the club’s campus.
