How can I get involved?

Volunteer as an Usher

Our family of volunteers are critical to our success! Our ushers take tickets, assist patrons with seating and are the public face our theatres.  Ushers must be 16 years of age or older and have the ability to walk stairs and stand for periods of time.  Training sessions are held several times a year.

If you are interested in committing to be a part of the family of ushers, please use the information below to contact the individial theatres. You will receive an invitation to the next available orientation session as soon as the date has been set.

  • Duncan Theatre - Lake Worth Campus: Please send an email to breezec@palmbeachstate.edu with your full name and phone number. 
  • Eissey Campus Theatre - Palm Beach Gardens Campus: Please contact our Volunteer Coordinator at 561-207-5903 for further information. For more information on what it takes to be an usher, please review our Usher Handbook.
  • Dolly Hand Cultural Arts Center - Belle Glade campus: Please send us an email with your full name, address and telephone number to theatreservices@palmbeachstate.edu.
