What to Expect

Due to the expected large attendance, early arrival at the ballfield and carpooling are encouraged. PBSC staff will be present to answer questions and provide directions.

  • Guests are encouraged to arrive EARLY. Please include time for travel, parking and check-in at the venue.  It may take 10-15 minutes to park and walk to the front entrance as well as another 10-15 minutes to clear security and be seated.
  • This is an outdoor ceremony so please dress accordingly. Stay hydrated and prepare for the possibility of rain.
  • Guests are discouraged from bringing any bags into the ballfield to expedite the security screening. Guests who bring backpacks or large bags will be asked to return them to their car before entering the building.
    • All bags are subject to be searched by security before entry to the park. Guests that must bring bags are permitted one clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bag that does not exceed 12" x 6" x 12".
    • This includes clear backpacks, clear fanny packs and clear cinch bags that fit within the permissible dimensions.  The only exceptions are diaper bags and bags of medical necessity.
  • Guests must remain seated and clear of the processional area on the concourse during the ceremony.
  • During the reading of the candidates' names, guests are asked to be considerate in their applause so that all names are clearly heard.
