Course Equivalency
This is a process for granting college credit or clock hours towards a CCP, CCC, AS or AA degree at Palm Beach State College.
CCPto Credit Equivalency or Credit to CCPEquivalency
This is a process for granting college credit towards a CCC, or AS degree. Students
who have taken and passed courses in certain CCP Programs at Palm Beach State may
apply for granting of credit by following this process.
Initiator: Student
Process: The student who has completed the eligible CCPor credit coursework must apply using
the Course Equivalency Form, working with the CCP, CCC or AS program director to complete the form and submitting it
to any Palm Beach State Registrar's office.
Palm Beach State Office(s) Responsible for Processing: Palm Beach State CCP, CCC/AS program director and Palm Beach State Campus or District
Registrar
Fees: $50.00
Eligibility: Any student who has successfully completed the CCPor credit coursework as required.
Proviso(s): Student must:
- Be admitted to the program to which the credit or clock hours will apply
- Have already earned at least 25% of the program credits, (including general education for AS degree).
Substitution (CCPto CCP, Credit to Credit)
This process is to grant clock hours or credits for clock hours or credit-a straight
across substitution. These clock hours or credits can be earned at Palm Beach State
or any other 2 or 4 year institution.
Initiator: Student
Process: The student who has completed the eligible credit coursework must apply for credit
by using the Course Substitution Form, working with a department chair or program director to complete the form and submitting
the form to any Palm Beach State Registrar's office.

Eligibility: Any student who has successfully completed the CCPor credit coursework as required.
Proviso(s): Student must:
- Be admitted to the program to which the clock hours or credit will apply.
- Have already earned at least 25% of the program clock hours or credits.
State Mandated Articulated Credit
This is the process by which a student can apply CCPcredit earned at another Florida
Institution toward credit in a Palm Beach State credit certificate or AS degree.
Initiator: Student
Process: The student who has completed the eligible CCPcoursework must apply for credit by
using the Course Equivalency Form, working with the CCC/AS program director to complete the form and submitting the
form along with the state issued articulation agreement to any Palm Beach State Registrar's

Eligibility: Any student who has successfully completed the CCPcoursework as required. Palm Beach
State College is only required to award credit to Associate in Science degrees that
we offer.

- Be admitted to the program to which the credit will apply
- Have already earned at least 25% of the program credits, including general education.
Statewide Articulation Agreements - Industry Certification to AS Degree
This is the process by which a student can apply earned industry certifications as
prescribed by the State of Florida toward credit in a Palm Beach State credit certificate
or AS degree.
Initiator: Student
Process: The student who has verification of the articulated industry certifications must
apply for credit by using the Course Equivalency Form (License), working with the CCC/AS program director to complete the form and submitting the form
along with a co[y of the state issued articulation agreement for licensure to any
Palm Beach State Registrar's office. To find the state mandated articulated credit,
go to FLDOE Articulation Agreement Website. Only CCC/AS degrees offered at Palm Beach State that match the listing on the statewide
articulation can qualify for the state mandated credit award for the student.

Eligibility: Any student who holds valid licensure as prescribed by the State of Florida Articulation
Agreement. Palm Beach State College is only required to award credit to Associate
in Science degrees that we offer.
Proviso(s): Student must:
- Be admitted to the program to which the credit will apply
- Have already earned at least 25% of the program credits, including general education.
Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certification - CGS1100 Microcomputer Applications
This is the process by which a student can apply Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS)
Certifications in four applications (WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT and ACCESS) obtained
in the last three (3) years toward the award of CGS1100 Microcomputer Applications.
Initiator: Student
Process: The student who has verification of four (4) specific industry certifications must apply for credit by using the Course Equivalency Form (CGS1100). Working with the Computer Science Department Chair, or Associate Dean of Academic Affairs in charge of Computer Science, complete the form and submit it along with the MOS Certifications to any Palm Beach State Registrar's office.

Eligibility: Any student who holds the MOS Certification for WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT and ACCESS
issued within the last three (3) years.
