The Count and Countess DeHoernle Historic Building still stands as the first home of the College, set to celebrate its 90th year in 2023. From a single building of 41 students to five campuses and an annual $1.1 billion economic impact on the community, Palm Beach State has become the driver for equitable education, a dynamic workforce and the cultural fabric of the #1 county in Florida for growth by income and population.
Today, it’s home to the Foundation for Palm Beach State, providing philanthropic advancement for the College and community. Under the leadership of CEO David Rutherford, the Foundation helps empower the future of students through scholarships, programs and initiatives that impact lives throughout Palm Beach County, including those in healthcare, public safety, veteran services and more.
