Irrelevant Information

Many resume writers include information that should not be put on a resume, especially personal data. Does your resume include any of the following?

 

  • Personal data such as height, weight, marital status, or number of children
  • Hobbies unless the hobby is relevant to the job objective
  • Illness, injury or disability
  • Failed business venture
  • Rehabilitation from substance abuse
  • Too much detail about unrelated jobs
