Emailing Your Resume
When you email your
resume, you have a few options:
- If the employer uses the same word processing
program, you could send your resume as an attachment.
- If you are unsure what word processing program or
version the employer uses, you could convert your resume to a .pdf file, an
option that is available if you are using Word 2007. If you cannot save it
as a .pdf file, try saving a copy of your resume as .rtf (rich text format)
or plain text.
- Copy your resume into the body of your email.
- If you add an .html resume in the email, let the
employer know they must open it with Internet Explorer.
