Small Business University

Join Us: May 2, 2024 - June 25, 2024

Thursdays from 4-6 p.m.

 

Register now and seize the opportunity to attend this learning series at no cost. Courses will include business essentials and content for business growth acceleration. This program is in partnership with the School District of Palm Beach County and Kaufman Lynn Construction.

Most courses are virtual but some will be held at PBSC's Lake Worth campus.

Course Schedule

Business Essentials

These courses prepare small business owners to develop an understanding about financial, legal, and communication interpersonal skills.

  • May 2 - Developing Meaningful Relationships in Business (virtual)
  • May 9 - Contract Essentials: Navigating Legal Terms and Ethical Practices for Business Owners (virtual) 
  • May 16 - Business Writing and Effective Communication (virtual)
  • May 23 - Small Business Financing and Financial Management (virtual)

 

Business Growth Acceleration

These courses enhance small business owners' capacity to grow their understanding about decision making and visioning for short and long-term business growth.

  • May 30 - Al Tools for Enhanced Marketing, Procurement and Project Execution (virtual) 
  • June 6 - Goods & Services Based Project Management (hybrid - in person at Lake Worth campus in CBP 103)
  • June 13 - Construction Based Project Management (hybrid - in person at Lake Worth campus in CBP 103)
  • June 20 - Operational Decision Making: Cost/Benefit Analysis & Visioning (virtual)

 

There will be a Certificate of Completion Ceremony at the Lake Worth campus on June 25, 2024.
