        PBSC’s Associate Dean of Nursing Carol A. Clarke, Ed.D., DNP, MSN, RN has been re-elected to serve a two-year term on the Nursing Consortium of Florida’s Board of Directors. The Nursing Consortium of Florida is a nonprofit founded to serve the professional needs of Florida’s nursing community.

        Clarke’s leadership role at PBSC has emphasized the importance of partnerships.

        “On working through the present and past pandemics, I have realized the importance of broad collaboration among nurse leaders, and I recognize that fostering collaboration between nurse leaders in practice and academia is at the core of the Consortium’s mission,” she said. “My motivation for serving on the Consortium board, is to contribute to the good work underway in service to the profession and the broader community through committee leadership and close collaboration with my peers.”

        Palm Beach State College faculty and staff participated in Development Day, an opportunity to connect with fellow employees and focus on professional learning and networking. Our President Ava L. Parker, J.D., led a special celebration of the milestones achieved by 4DX teams throughout the College. It was rewarding to witness the creativity and impact our colleagues are making on their wildly important goals using the Franklin Covey 4DX system.

        “I’m so proud of your commitment and creativity – the driving forces behind real transformation and genuine student success,” Parker said.

        Thank you to Stephen Joyner, PhD and his team for hosting us at our beautiful Palm Beach Gardens campus and to our Thrive committee members and volunteers who helped make the day a huge success.
