"We have been working with PBSC over the last 18 months on a number of programs. The first one we partnered with was English for employees who didn't use English as a first language. This was a very successful program with around 20 employees taking the opportunity to learn. We also tapped into resources and worked with PBSC CNC machining program to identify students close to graduation, created intern positions, and upon graduation they were offered a full time position. This has been a very successful program; the students come to us with a very high base knowledge of CNC machining.  Their attitude is very positive which allows us to place them seamlessly within our existing machining departments. We have had great success partnering with PBSC on all our programs and hope to continue that partnership."

Village of Palm Springs

"By partnering with Palm Beach State College (PBSC), the Village of Palm Springs has been able to offer employees “real life” training to promote improved productivity and succession planning. The courses offered through PBSC’s Corporate Continuing Education (CCE) and the professionalism of the staff within CCE has given our employees the opportunity to excel professionally. Our employees have participated in “Essentials to Human Resources” and “Keys to Effective Communication” courses. In addition, CCE is working with the Village to develop a specialized/tailored Leadership Academy that is expected to provide our employees with the necessary knowledge and expectations of being a leader within our organization ( i.e. customer service, labor management, legal issues, budget). The staff at Palm Beach State College have been wonderful and have always met the needs of the Village of Palm Springs in order to make our employees and our community successful.
